Technical Program
Thursday Afternoon, Friday and Saturday Morning

Sessions
Each year the Section solicits transportation professionals from within the Intermountain Section, as well as visiting professionals, to share technical transportation knowledge through 20-30 minute presentations. The program typically has 5-7 technical sessions, including panel sessions, workshops and/or up to 30 individual topics. We are very proud to say that our technical program has been highly touted by ITE International Board members (see quotes at footer of page).
Professional Development Hours
Our conference agenda is reviewed and approved by ITE International each year and PDHs can be earned in one of the most beautiful places on earth! Click here for instructions to request PDH credit.
Networking Breaks
We understand the importance of catching up with old friends and acquaintances and meeting new contacts. During our technical program, we provide networking breaks each day in addition to the socials described below.

Member Socials
Thursday Evening, Friday Lunch and Evening, Saturday Lunch

Student Traffic Bowl |  Thursday Night
Traffic bowl teams from the universities within our section compete in a jeopardy-style transportation trivia game. Traffic bowls are also held at the Western District and International levels. This traffic bowl is a low-stress, casual competition to prepare student teams with a desire to compete at the District level! Encourage your local student chapter to put together a team and compete for some prizes!

For more information on the District Traffic Bowl click here.

Chapter Socials |  Thursday Night
Local chapters (Idaho, Montana, Utah, Nevada) normally have Chapter Socials for those who attend the Intermountain Section Meeting. These socials are not "official" agenda items for the meeting, and are not included in meeting registration.

Student/Professional Mixer |  Friday Lunch
This relaxed social provides an opportunity for students and professionals to interact and build relationships. The social typically has an ice-breaker/get-to-know-you activity and pizza. This lunch is not included in regular meeting registration.

Vendor Display and Social |  Friday Evening
We are so grateful for the vendors who attend our meeting and provide information on their innovative and state-of-the-art products and services. This Friday evening social includes, a cash bar (a drink ticket is included in registration), hors d'oeuvres, and a raffle activity - you may just win a coveted Intermountain Section Jacket! We encourage you to visit the vendor booths to learn about the latest and most exciting products to further our industry.

Annual Awards Luncheon |  Saturday Lunch
The highlight, for many, of the Intermountain Section Meeting. This sit-down lunch includes awards for Project of the Year, Best Technical Presentation, and the James L. Pline Award for professionals and the Best Student Paper and the Ellis L. Mathes Scholarships for students. We also have a lunch speaker to provide an interesting, and at times non-technical, presentation for attendees.

Annual Golf Tournament
Thursday Afternoon

A four-person team scramble tournament at the picturesque Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis Club. Proceeds go to support the Section's Student Chapters and Section Student Scholarship Fund. There are prizes, fun contests and a raffle.

Professionals/Vendors
Opportunities for sponsorship are available, as well as sponsoring a student to join your team! This is a great opportunity to spend some quality time with old friends or potential clients!

Students
As the proceeds of the tournament aid the students, there are opportunities for students to volunteer. Who knows, you may meet your future employer on the links!
