The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) is an international education and scientific association of transportation professionals who are responsible for meeting mobility and safety needs. ITE facilitates the application of technology and scientific principles of research, planning, functional design, implementation, operation, policy development and management for any mode of ground transportation. Through its products and services, ITE promotes professional development of its members, supports and encourages education, stimulates research, develops public awareness programs and serves as a conduit for the exchange of professional information.
The Intermountain Section of ITE represents transportation professionals in Montana, Idaho, Utah and Nevada. Many of the ITE Intermountain Section members are concurrently members of either the Idaho Chapter, Nevada Chapter, Montana Chapter, or Utah Chapter of ITE. The Intermountain Section is one of 16 sections within the Western District of ITE. As part of the OneITE initiative, on January 1, 2021 the Intermountain Section will formally be dissolved and the ITE Chapters in Idaho, Nevada, Montana, and Utah will be elevated to Section status within the newly formed Mountain District. If you have any questions regarding the change, please contact a member of the Board. The Intermountain Section Meeting is held annually in May at the foot of the Teton Mountain Range in Jackson, Wyoming. Click on the following links to view our Section By-Laws and Section Charter. |
